50,000 expected at lantern festival

September 17-- PETALING JAYA: About 50,000 people are expected to attend the Chempaka Buddhist Lodge's Mid-Autumn Festival celebration on Saturday.

There will be a lantern exhibition, a lion dance and stage shows 
at the Chempaka Buddhist Lodge mid autumn celebration.

There will also be two floats procession. They will be on parade around the neighbourhood during the event.

The celebrations kick off at 3pm with a colouring contest for children and a lantern riddle festival for all.

There will also be a lantern exhibition, a lion dance and stage shows as well as stalls selling food and non-edible items at the event.

At least 1,000 goodie bags with mooncakes, lanterns and candles will be distributed.

The festival is sponsored and jointly organised by the Petaling Jaya City Council.
